One of our representatives will pick you up from your hotel early this

It’s time to begin your safari. Welcome to Tanzania! After we greet you and provide you with the trip briefing, we’ll take you out to help you discover why so many people think Tanzania is the best place in Africa to go on safari.

We think you’ll be impressed with Tarangire National Park. Most visitors love the distinct shapes of the baobab trees silhouetted against the sky that make this place feel like a fairy-tale African landscape. Or visitors remember the elephants that roam in family bands everywhere throughout the park. If you’re lucky, you’ll also encounter the big cats – lions especially, but also cheetahs and leopards – that are always a possibility here. And there’s a fair degree of certainty that you will tick wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, buffalo and zebra off your wildlife-viewing list.

Day 3 – 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Today you’ll visit Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful natural sights in Africa, a place where you’ll experience otherworldly beauty with extraordinary wildlife. Watch as, from above, morning mist rolls up and over the crater rim, and notice how the steep walls suggest a place unlike any other. Down below on the crater floor, explore a lost world preserved in a state of pristine isolation, one that shelters lions and hyenas, elephants and black rhinos, flamingos and golden jackals. There are also forests, hippo- filled lakes, a salt pan and hyena dens, and you’ll never lose the sense that you’ve stumbled into a safari theme park where everything’s wild.

Day 5 – 7: Ndutu Area

On your visit to the Northern Serengeti, there’s a good chance that you will see big cats, elephants and more. Just as special as the animals you’ll see is the scenery you’ll get to explore. Far more so than elsewhere in the park, the north is dominated by rolling hills, mixed with grasslands and light forests. There’s also the Mara River which marks Tanzania’s border with Kenya.

Day 8 – 9: Zanzibar Stone Town

You will be picked-up from the Zanzibar Airport.

Soak up the history as you explore Zanzibar Stone Town. The Swahili architecture here speaks of a rich and varied past, reflecting influences from Arabia, Asia and elsewhere across the Indian Ocean. But you’ll love this place most when the smell of spices and the Muslim call to prayer carries through the atmospheric alleys to the historic waterfront.

Day 10 – 11: Zanzibar Island

One of our representatives will pick you up from your hotel this morning.

Transferby Road to Mnemba Island

We’re excited to take you snorkeling in the shallows off Mnemba Island. The coral formations here come in all shapes and hues, and fish are.

You’ll be staying with us at Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort, a lovely resort in Nungwi in the north of the main island.

Rooms have whitewashed walls and decor that blends East African and Middle Eastern influences. The views out over the Indian Ocean from the restaurant and elsewhere on the property are among the best on the island. There are also bars that catch a sea breeze, expansive swimming pools, and a spa and massage center.

Day 12: Abeid Amani Karume International Airport

Our representative will come and pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the Airport

This is when your safari ends. We love showing our guests the Africa we adore, and we hope that you will choose us again next time you go on safari.
